METL IS AN INDEPENDENT PROVIDER OF COMMERCIAL MARITIME EDUCATION

Founded in 2002, METL is a well established teaching centre with a team of knowledgeable lecturers, all of whom are professional shipping practitioners and experts in their own fields and have many years of experience in preparing students for the exams of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS). The ICS is the international professional body for the commercial shipping industry worldwide. 

METL has a proven track record of successful students, including between 2 and 5 global prize winners every year, who are now Members and Fellows of the ICS. 

METL provides bespoke training for companies.

Who takes our courses ?

METL's courses are designed primarily to prepare students for the Professional Qualifying Examinations, the Advanced Diploma and the Foundation Diploma of the ICS. 

Our courses are also of interest to anybody wishing to expand a knowledge of commercial shipping without wanting to take the ICS exams.
